Nissan Silvia Returns in CGI Form as Heartbeat Line Gains Fresh Attention

11Views

Nissan closed a long presentation day with a broad Nissan Vision event built around future planning for both Nissan and Infiniti.

The presentation came after Nissan reached the closing part of the Re: Nissan recovery program, a plan shaped during a period of weak performance and an unsuccessful merger effort with another Japanese carmaker. Long-term direction then became the main topic of the event.

Next on Nissan’s schedule comes a broader push into artificial-intelligence functions, autonomous-driving research, electric mobility, and a reduced product catalog. The global count is set to move from 56 vehicles down to 45. Alongside this, a new body-on-frame base is planned for future V6 hybrid applications. Future products are arranged in four groups, with Core, Growth, Partner, and Heartbeat categories shaping the next cycle.

One part of the presentation also introduced several future nameplates. Japan received an early look at a new Skyline generation. For the United States and Canada, Nissan confirmed the next Xterra as a body-on-frame sport-utility vehicle built around V6 and hybrid V6 drivetrains. On the Infiniti side, the roadmap included a sports sedan, a hybrid mid-size sport-utility vehicle planned for 2028, plus larger sport-utility additions scheduled for a later phase.

Heartbeat models carry a separate role inside this structure. Nissan describes them as vehicles tied to brand identity, emotional value, and innovation. The current Nissan Z already fits here, and now digital imagination has added another possible candidate.

David Scott Neal II, Chief Design Officer at Mozee Inc. and the artist known online as “nemojunglist,” prepared an unofficial study for a revived Silvia. His work arrives as a CGI-only proposal, though the theme matches the Heartbeat direction closely enough to draw attention. He calls the concept Nissan Sylivia, using a slightly altered spelling for the project.

The digital coupe follows the historical Silvia family linked to S10 through S15 generations. In several export markets, those cars appeared under 200SX or 240SX names, while some examples also carried the Datsun badge. The new interpretation keeps a two-door layout and presents a clean white body finished with exposed carbon-fiber sections.

Several aerodynamic details define the study. The rear carries a large wing. Carbon-fiber pieces appear around selected aero-kit sections, while the hood receives a visible central indent. The same exposed material continues onto the A-pillars and roof panel. Wheel design also breaks from ordinary multi-spoke solutions and gives the coupe a more unusual visual identity.

The project was published on Behance, where Neal presented the coupe as another unofficial answer to Nissan’s expanding future map. No factory confirmation supports a Silvia return. Still, inside a lineup now divided into clear categories, this sort of exercise lands at a moment when old names feel closer to discussion again.
