Infiniti Adds the 2027 QX65, a Fastback-Shaped Crossover Positioned Above Style and Below Excess

7Views

Later this year, Infiniti’s range will stop looking quite so limited. A third model is on the way, and it comes in the form of the 2027 QX65, a two-row crossover built around a more tapered silhouette than the brand’s current offerings.

It does not arrive with a complicated mechanical formula. This means that the new Infiniti QX65 stay loyal to the same VC-Turbo flat-four 2.0-liter engine, good for 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. The power is sent to all wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The shape is clearly part of the pitch here. Infiniti gives the QX65 a fastback profile, then layers in elements from its current Artistry in Motion styling language, though the older FX seems to hover somewhere in the background too. Up front, the grille and emblem both use a three-dimensional treatment, and one of the launch colors—Sunfire Red—takes inspiration from Regal Red, a finish previously associated with the Nissan GT-R.

Three trims are planned.

The entry point is called Luxe. It comes with LED lighting, illuminated grille emblem, and 20-inch alloy wheels at the exterior, while the cabin gets dual 12.3-inch screens with Gioogle Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tri-zone climate control, and much more.

Moving up to the Sport, this version is packed with more goodies like 20-inch black wheels with hidden lug nuts, and gloss-black detailing at the exterior. The interior also shifts slightly, adding a graphite headliner and matching gloss-black trim.

Autograph sits at the top of the range and is easy enough to spot. This means that the carmaker has fitted it with 21-inch machined-alloy wheels, a black roof, and satin chrome around the side glass. The cabin has semi-aniline leather massaging seats, wood accents, and a quilted dashboard. This combination of high-end materials differentiates it from the rest of the lineup.

As for pricing, the QX65 Luxe starts at $56,990, destination included—the charge itself being $1,545. Sport is listed at $57,235, while the Autograph opens at $64,135.

For context, the QX60 Pure starts at $53,085 for 2026. Then again, once you move past that first version, the QX65 actually lands below the equivalent QX60 trims.

Sales begin this summer. Pricing had already suggested where Infiniti wants it placed; the trim walk confirms it.
