Studies say that the Tesla Model 3 holds its value by up to 90% after 3 years of daily use, while the average on most electric vehicles is 41% after 3 years.
Nowadays, electric cars lose value over time way faster than any other cars because of their fast battery pack degradation, but with all those being said, an analysis made by the iSeeCars American blog highlighted the fact that the Tesla Model 3 holds up to 89.8% of its value after 3 years of use.
The Tesla Model X holds only 66.1% of its value while the Model S only 63.7% of its value in the same time interval.
The data on the Tesla vehicles is more accurate than on other registered models, for example, the same study mentions the fact that the Hyundai Ioniq Electric holds only 52.3% of its value after 3 years of use while the Kia Soul EV drops its value at 41.3% after the same time interval.
Two of the most popular electric vehicles in Europe are the same models that lose most of their value over time, after 3 years the Nissan Leaf drops to 39.8% of its base price and the BMW i3 is on the bottom of the list at 39.6%.

On average, one electric vehicle drops to about 40.8% of its base price after 3 years of use.
“The Model 3 is the vehicle with the lowest price drop and drops up to 5 times less than the average. The Model 3 is still at very high demand from the start of production in 2017 and even if it doesn’t represent much comparative to a new Tesla model, it offers its client a more accessible way to own a Tesla.” confirmed the Study Authors.
Tesla also offers all kinds of options for their cars but especially for the Model 3 we have 0-60mph acceleration time in 5.6 seconds on the base Model with a top speed of 130mph while the Long Range version of the Model 3 has a 0-60 time of only 5.1 seconds and tops out at 140mph.
Early deliveries of the Model 3 came with a single motor powering the rear wheels, later for it to come with all-wheel drive and also Tesla warrants the Model 3 for 4 years or 50.000 miles and with an 8 year warranty on the battery pack that covers 100.000 miles on the base pack and 120.000 miles on the Long Range pack.
