The new expected Mustang from Ford will be called The Mustang Mach-E and it’s planned to be the first electric Mustang that also crosses over to the SUV world.
This crossover electric SUV from Ford called Mustang Mach-E has the looks similar to the Tesla Model X but a starting price of 43.895 USD which is not bad and in the US there is also a 7000 USD discharge for stimulating the people to buy electric vehicles.
The base model of the vehicle has an autonomy of 230 miles (370 km) and can do 0-60 in a couple of seconds having about 255 horsepower. The premium variant of the car costs 50.600 USD and comes with All-Wheel Drive or Rear-Wheel Drive while the autonomy also rises to 300 miles (482 km) and the same acceleration as the base model. There is also a model called “First Edition” available in a limited quantity for fans. It costs 59.900 USD, has exclusive colors and red brake calipers and 333 horsepower and the last variant of the model is the GT model which costs 60.500 USD which has 372 miles (600 km) autonomy and can accelerate 0 to 60 in less than 5 seconds from what we know for now and it can fully charge in about 50 minutes both the First Edition and the GT have almost the same specs the main difference being the colors and detailing.
With the Ford Mustang Mach-E also debuts the new generation of the infotainment system SYNC which has a new interface and the capacity to learn the drivers preferences over time. The infotainment system will be available on the 15.5 inch touchscreen in the center console and will have twice the power of its predecessor.
It will also have a “Hands-Free” driving mode which is created with the help of the Active Drive Assist (ADA) technology which lets the car drive in a semi-autonomous way. At the beginning it will only be available on the highways of the US and Canada as it uses maps and road portion 100% safe for the Autopilot to take the wheel.
Even if it’s a full-electric vehicle that won’t mean it won’t have any cargo space, as it has front trunk (frunk) with a capacity of 100 liters, the actual trunk with about 402 liters of volume and with the back seats leaned in you got 1420 liters of volume free to pack your stuff in.
Nonetheless the car will be available on market at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, by the end of 2021 being available to all markets.
