Review: 2026 Honda Pilot Kicks Off with Plenty of Improvements

6Views

The 2026 Honda Pilot isn’t here to make noise. You figure that out fast. Honda had room to push harder with this update, but it backed off instead. Spend some time with the Pilot, and the logic becomes fairly simple. A few old issues needed attention. Those were handled. Everything else stayed put. This facelift isn’t about changing course. It’s about keeping a familiar three-row SUV from aging awkwardly.

Exterior

At a glance, the Pilot looks almost unchanged. That’s on purpose. For the 2026 model, Honda didn’t introduce anything radical; it just added some design adjustments that would make it look more appealing. Those include wheel designs on certain trims, along with some other subtle styling tweaks that make the Pilot easier to visually separate itself from the more rugged TrailSport. Nothing here feels radical. It also doesn’t feel ignored.

Interior

Inside, function still leads the conversation. Space remains generous across all three rows, and the cabin layout stays straightforward. Getting around the interior is easy.

The cabin feels deliberately spacious with lots of storage areas all around, regardless of seating position. Without changing its basic design, Honda added upgraded features and made them standard across the entire lineup in order to address previous complaints.

Infotainment

Infotainment is one of the clearer updates this time around. A 12.3-inch touchscreen replaces the smaller displays used previously and is now standard across the range. The system includes Google built in, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Audio setups depend on trim.

Powertrain Information

Regarding engines under the hood, 2026 Honda Pilot continues to toy with the same naturally aspirated 3.5 liter V6 with 285 horsepower. The engine is coupled to a ten-speed auto transmission which transmits the power either to the front or all wheels depending on the trim.

Pricing

The 2026 Honda Pilot is considered an affordable SUV with plenty of features and technology inside. The big power under the hood should also be mentioned, which makes it ideal for an all-terrain. It implies that the customers will have three choices: the basic Sport Trim with the price of $40,495 next in line with the Black Edition, which will have the price of $54,995. At the top of the hierarchy is the Touring at $47,795 and the TrailSports, which has relegated the standards even higher, at $49,695. Lastly, the highest priced Elite is available at $53,495.
