Lamborghini posted recently the first pictures of the new Sian Roadster. After the success they had with the Sian which also got itself a Lego version they decided to also make a convertible for this model and that’s how the Lamborghini Sian Roadster was born, a convertible with a hybrid propulsion system and one hard to miss exterior design.
The Italian car manufacturer said that this beast is going to pack a 6.5 liter petrol engine under the hood with a little electric motor incorporated in the Transmission and they claim that the car can do 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of almost over 217 mph.
Unlike the coupe version that is going to have 63 cars built, the Sian Roadster is going to be built only for 19 lucky buyers. Lamborghini didn’t want to mention a price about the Sian Roadster but they claimed that all 19 units have already been sold before even launching.
The interior of this beast is designed with high quality aluminum and all the details are painted in Oro Electrum as they call it (gold) color. The purposeful interior of the Sian Roadster embraces an elegant effect with Y-shaped features and distinctive hexagonal accents harkening back to the first Lamborghini Miura.
The engine in this beast is a beautiful natural aspirated V-12 6.5 liter waiting to be tamed as the manufacturers say. The engine on this car is capable of speed greater than 217 mph (350 km/h), the super sports car delivers driving emotions never before experienced.
The transmission on this Lamborghini is one beast of transmission electronically controlled all-wheel drive system (Haldex gen. IV) with rear mechanical self-locking differential. It has dual hydraulic circuit brake system with vacuum brake booster; front and rear CCB (6-cylinder brake calipers, 4-cylinder brake calipers).
The whole car is made out of carbon fiber and the chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque with aluminum front and rear frames, the top roof is made out of the electrochromic glass fixed on the monocoque roof, the mirrors are electrically operated and it has a new active aero electrically powered aerodynamics system.
The gearbox is still the IRS (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox with 7 speeds and shifting characteristics depending on drive select mode with the electric motor working during shifting as a boost, a classic for the Italian car manufacturer.
The only bad part about the car would’ve been the price but as they won’t reveal the price to the public and the car unreleased already sold, out not anyone could’ve got his hands on one.
